ABC Works

Push button photoEmployer of Record Services operates out of ABC Works in La Crescent/Caledonia. This Service assists participants in their efforts to direct their own employees. Participants recruit, interview, hire, determine wages, schedule and supervise their own support workers.

ABC Works provides support with specific employment related tasks. Participants or their representatives are considered Managing Employers and ABC Works is considered the Employer of Record for their support workers. Employer of Record Services can assist in the following areas of the employer/employee relationship:

  • Verifying citizenship
  • Completing Department of Human Services Background Checks and driving record checks
  • Issuing paychecks
  • Withholding and filing required employment taxes
  • Providing workers compensation and liability insurance
  • Providing consultation on employment related issues as requested
